Kassandria which is also known under the name Valta is a town located in the Kassandra peninsula in Halkidiki between Kallithea and Siviri. Geographicaly it lies at the center of Kassandra and it’s not a coastal town. It is the administrative center of Kassandra and is a large shopping center that covers almost all the shopping needs of 3,000 residents and tourists of the region.

In the village there are many accommodation to stay, as most tourists choose coastal places for their holidays, as the neighboring Kallithea. However we would suggest you to spend an evening to dine in the main square of the village and walk the cobblestone streets. In the square there is a large perennial tree that you can admire, one of the oldest remaining trees of Kassandra.

The excellent traditional architecture is maintained until today in the village. A typical example of this architecture is the Town Hall, built in 1926 and the churches of the village, the church of Genesis of the Virgin Mary and the church of Agios Athanasios built in 1850.

In Kassandreia there is a health center, police station, several banks, large supermarkets, post office and schools of all levels.

Around the village there is the pine forest where you can hike and enjoy the beauties of nature.
