Lefkada Gialos Beach: Gialos is one of the longest beaches of Lefkada located 35 km southwest of the Lefkada town. It doesn’t get that crowded like most of the beaches of the island but it is equally beautiful with unique features. Part of it is well-organized with sunbeds and umbrellas but there are also some spots that provide total privacy. The is accessed through a narrow road from Athani village. There is a parking area and a nice cafeteria with view to the Ionian Sea.
Gialos Beach – Holidays in Lefkada
Partially sandy and partially pebbled, organized at a pretty small part of it, Gialos is the place to be in order to enjoy a tranquil day to the sea. The small cafeteria right above the coast offers charming views to the sea and the rocky formations of the natural landscape will promise that the image of this beach will remain carved in your memory forever!
Gialos is a long beach on the island of Lefkada in Greece. A narrow road leads down to it and you can drive all the way down to it. The sand on the beach is a bit rougher compared to other beaches in the area. The bottom where we stayed was made up of a bit larger stones rather than sand and was not ideal for bathing and swimming. Since it is quite a long beach other parts might however be better and its great length means there is lot of space between visitors. A small stretch at the start of the beach had sunbeds to rent.
