Gouvia village Corfu: The village of Gouvia counts 600 inhabitants and was built on the site of an ancient Venetian harbour. In this village there is the largest marina of Corfu island, extremely active during the summer period welcoming many tourists with their yachts from every part of the world.
The beaches here are not particularly good due to the close proximity to the marina. Gouvia Village is set on a natural bay, five miles north of Corfu Town, on the east coast of the island. The village is connected to Corfu Town by the KTEL Blue bus that runs every half hour from early morning well into the evening.

Corfu enjoys hot, dry summers and mild winters. Temperatures in July and August range from 90ºF (32ºC) during the day to 64ºF (18ºC) at night. Rainfall is unlikely during the peak summer season, but heavy showers can be expected between September and April.
