Rhodes holidays in Greece at Lindos Limanaki Agios Pavlos beach: The little bay of Agios Pavlos (Saint Paul) lies 48 km south of Rhodes town and close to the ancient acropolis of Lindos. According to a local myth, the bay owes its name to the lovely white chapel standing on the beach which is dedicated to Saint Paul, who came here in 43 AD and preached Christianity. Golden sand and pebbles compose the beach where sun beds are available for rent. Rocks are boarding the beach, giving the possibility to dive into the clean turquoise waters.
This beach consists of two tiny creeks and a little chapel at the end. This is where people from the upper part of Lindos prefer to come to swim. Those from the lower part usualy go to Lindos Beach. But there are quite a few foreign tourists here as well. The right side of the beach offers sunbeds, food and island music, while the left side offers solitude.
Sand and pebbles, with rocks from which to dive into the crystal water. You will have to leave the car well before you reach the beach, and then you have to walk. You can also come here from Lindos on foot. Those of you who love movies can ask one of the boatmen who moor here to take you to the Laki, the straits where a number of scenes from “The Guns of Navarone”were shot.
