Super Paradise Mykonos: Super Paradise is the name of a beautiful sandy beach on the Greek island of Mykonos. It is located about six kilometers southeast of Mykonos town. The sandy beach hugs a crystal clear sea. It is well sheltered in a deep bay. Yachts moor here to spend a wonderful day on the Super Paradise beach or enjoy an afternoon party.
Located some 6 km south east of Mykonos Town, Super Paradise beach is the most alternative and anti-conformist beach on the island.
Beach is located right next to Paradise Beach and is reachable by taxi-boat (regular boat services are available from Platis Yialos) and local bus.
It is considered as one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. Mykonos Super Paradise is less organized than neighboring Paradise and has beautiful crystalline waters and soft golden sand.
Super Paradise is the most famous homosexual beach of Greece, attracting homos and heterosexuals from all over the world. Due to its popularity, Super Paradise Beach can get very crowded during peak season.
Personally I have no idea who made up the names of Paradise and Super Paradise Beach, because in my view they are far from Paradise. These beaches are lie next to eachother at a distance of 5 to 6 kilometer from the capital. Paradise beach is a crowded beach with loud music all day, coming to a climax after 5 o’clock in the afternoon, when it turns into a disco. Okay, it can be fun for a change, but for me not every day. There are amenities at the beach like restaurants and accommodations and of course the beach is organised, so if you can find something empty you can rent an umbrella and sunbeds. The same goes for Super Paradise beach allthough accommodations here are limited.
Even more crowded so is Super Paradise beach, with no clothes option, and lots of gays. There are just not enough parasols and grains of sand to accommodate all the people that visit. You have to walk around for half an hour looking for a spot where you can put your towel. For me a defenite “no thank you”, but for other people that love these beaches to death the true meaning of Paradise. To each his own ;). Party old pictures here because I never bothered to go back. If you want to see it for yourself feel free. You can go by bus from Fabrika Square in Mykonos Chora or take the kaik (boat) from Platis Gialos. There is someting for everybody and judging by the number of people there are plenty that absolutely adore it here, but I am more for the more quiet beaches.
