This is a beautiful beach of thin white sand surrounded by unique rock formations, bushes and trees.
Beyond Zografou, there are more secluded and beautiful beaches and charming fishing hamlets. Nearby is Porto Zografou, a beautiful summer camping resort set in one of the most romantic areas surrounded by olive, pine, plane, and ornamental trees. The nearby Mount Itamos offers some splendid walking trails and a trek up the hill offers some of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Vourvourou bay.
Zografou beach is a small out of the way beach south of Vourvourou at Halkidiki. It is organized by a campsite called Porto Elea and they have really done a great job. The beach itself is a mix of sand and pebble and the water has a rocky bottom. Behind the beach there is a green park that is shaded and ideal for children to play. The north part of the beach has more pebble, is not organized and protected by a cliff that gives some shade in the afternoon. The southern developed part is sandier and offers sun beds with umbrellas, a beach bar, a restaurant and toilets.
Entrance to the beach is normally through the camp (Porto Elea) and there is a charge of 3€ for parking. Many just park on the road and walk through the campsite to access the beach.
